Great Ocean Road

Considered one of the most beautiful ocean roads in the world, the Great Ocean Road is 243 km long and runs along the southern Australian Coast from Torquay to Warrnambool in Victoria. Along the Great Ocean Road you will find Australia’s natural beauty and diversity at its best. Massive towering sandstone and limestone cliffs, long beaches, quiet bays and luscious rainforests are some of the highlights you will come across as the road winds through the idyllic coastal towns of Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay and Port Campbell. Some of the more iconic sights you will see are the famous natural rock formations of the 12 apostles, London Arch, the Grotto and the impressive Loch Ard Gorge. The Wildlife and Rainforest is in abundance along the Great Ocean Road with places like Tower Hill State Game Reserve where you can visit some of Australia’s native species or visit the Otway Ranges and rainforests in the Great Otway National Park and walk the Famous Otway Fly treetop canopy walk. The day tours and coach tours from Melbourne take in all the sights and hot spots allowing you to see the best of the Great Ocean Road and then be dropped off back in Melbourne. Many of the extended tours range from 1.5 days right through to 4 and 5 days and often run all the way through to Adelaide or back to Melbourne.
